How mechanical do I need to be?

How mechanical do I need to be to own a Superformance with a mild stroker engine? Do you need to be a wrench to keep one going? I would love to learn to work on cars, but I don't need a $50K paperwieight in the garage

I notice a lot of Superformance cobras with very low mileage for sale. Do alot of guys buy these cars and then gets buyers remorse? Driving on weekends (only half the year here in Colorado), how many miles do most guys put on one of these cars? Why don't I see cars with 20K miles for sale?
