Oklahoma is not so bad...the State just repealled our emissions inspections because of questionable inspectors amoung other things. Our car tags cannot cost more than $65. I pay $20 plus another $10 for my vanity tag (COBRA-SC) per year. When I read about Turks plight with the California DMV et al, I am really glad I moved to Tulsa. I'm sure there are plenty of other Californians that are just as glad I moved too.
To each their own...I go back once or twice a year. Some states would probably be just as tough as California if they could get away with it.
