Has anyone dealt w/ E-M since they have reorganized? Who is handling sales in their shop? I need to order a few parts, but I am kinda concerned about support & follow-thru. Thanks - Will Roy

Well Will, I own a 1995 E-M and needed a set of new headers, after a "few short weeks", I got them and was I disappointed. This was, I believe this past Feb or March. For starters they were told these were for slip-fit side pipes they sent flangible ones. When they were put in, one side had to be cut lowered and re-welded in order to get one of the side pipes on

I e-mailed a letter and did get, I believe a couple of hundred dollars back from the almost a grand I spent. at the time Al Kahmi at Blue Moon Motorsports in Longwood was doing a new rear end in my car end getting rid of the Corvette one, and he even was not impressed with their quality of craftsmanship. We went with E-M because Al thought it would be cheaper than him developing a set of headers since they already had the frame/body jig for the 390.

I liked E-M since back in the 80's before Factory-Five, but I must say, I am glad they at least got away from the Corvette suspension, mine was nothing but problems. The car only had about 5,000 miles on it when I bought it, but I soon found out the pinion angle was so far off to the rear it had torgued the heck out of it. I am interested to hear what year your E-M is and did you by it new and have you had any problems with it. Feel free to e-mail me at pander2424@aol.com.

wroyii - Sorry, but I haven't dealt with E-M.

Pander - I'm the fourth owner of an E-M with Corvette suspension built in 1995 by Larry Rea. This car was built for SCCA racing and only made street legal a few years ago. I take it to the track about 4-5 days per year and drive it hard. I haven't had any problems with the suspension or drive train except for some engine problems.

I have an EM that I built in 2000 with corvette suspension and have over 12000 miles on it with no problems with the rear end or suspension.

But back to the original question. Yes I have delt with them and my service was fine.

I had EM make a new set of headers in 2000.They had me send my old ones .They adjusted there jig for front to back but didn't adjust side to side ,my engine is 3/4" off center. I had to send them back with exsplicet instructions what to lengthen and what to shorten and how much.I had 2" pipes they made 1 7/8". My old pipes #5 went up and steering went under. now my steering goes over all pipes. My sidepipes were made from the wrong mufflers .they sent another set of muffelers . I was modifing things anyway before ceramic coating.
I have since ordered heavey SS tubing for bumpers , bumpers, a convertable top, and side curtains. I have since found My windsheild is at a different angle and not easily changed. I wiil see if the top can still be used and last year they offered to take the sidecurtains back and manufacture new ones off a pattern that I will supply.
Their reorganization worried me because they have been a good source for parts I needed for my older EM. If they say a part is Stainless Steel it is.The time thing is my fault , and I didn't know everything about this stuff as I should have.
