Sad news, but I would bet that the "brand" will resurface under new ownership somewhere down the line. From my viewpoint, Comp Cams really stole a lot of their thunder over the years. Just too many competitors trying to slice up a shrinking pie...someone has to eventually severely downsize or fold all together. That's Econ 101.

My former offshore boat engine builder in Ft. Lauderdale told me in 1996 that he ran the first cam ever that Crane made in his garage (end of the 40s?). It didn't last long, but the seed was sown.
