I have read every response to this thread. And I'm still scratching my head. How does "nice guy" and "horse$#!t attitude" fit in the same opening description of the issue at hand?

From my viewpoint, he's not a nice guy and definitely not a man of his word. Forget the fact that you may have lost interest in the car. You still have rights and you could still flat bed that sucker back to your place and find a willing buyer that wishes to put into it what little time (???) is apparently required to make it road worthy.

Do what you want, but please don't be coming into a public forum whining about your predicament if you're not willing to grow some and grab the bull by the horns. I honestly wish I could help you...you seem like a nice guy. Maybe too nice.
