Default new tires for contemporary

hello ccx'ers. after several cruises, i have decided to swap out the shoes, as the GY bluesteaks that came with the car are old(10+ years), non dot, and unkind to the road(hunting and VERY rough). they are everything that i've read about them. the backs are 27.0 x 10.0 r15, the fronts 25.0 x 9.0 r15. what are my replacement sizes? what fit's best for the ccx? any recco's? i was looking at the avon's 295 rears, 245 fronts, then a stencil from racline.

thanks in advance...

cheers, w.

Go with the Avons, the best tire for the street for these beasts. When I need new tires, that's where I'm going. Just wish they were a little cheaper. :P Rich

Avons, vintage Dunlop's or BB's, be safe as they stick the best.........

Rated by cost
1) Vintage Dunlop
2) Avon's
3) BB's

I am partial to BB's even though they are the cheapest in this grouping....

Good luck there. There aren't many manufacturers that still deliver the 295's. You may have to pick an alternate sized.

The local cars I have put Avons on and driven are much better than previously fitted tires. The owners tell me the turn in and transition is unbelieveable. You get what you pay for.

I'd recommend learning to use the search function over here. Tire sizes 295/50R-15 and 245/60R-15 tire options
