Default Dash support frame and hand brake

I have been looking at the dash on my build, I am not sure how the support frame works.
Obviously it fits behind the dash but where do the two tubes go?
There's no reference to it in the old build manual.
Mine is a late model car.
probably one of the last I would think.

Also I have the handbrake lever but no bracket.
do I need one from a Jaguar?

Hi Kevin, if you stand that up and fit the curved tube to the inside of the bottom lip of the dash. If the tubes are too long you'll have to drill a couple of holes in the top of the tunnel to drop them through. Don't forget to paint them black and cover them with a wrap of vinyl to match the dash. There's a funny story about how the CCX dash bottom lip got a reinforcing tube. Peter started chuckling when I put my hand behind the dash and found it. It is his version of the "Oh @#%!*^" handle on the 289's passenger side. You need a tunnel mount handle for the park brake. The E type one works and looks OK but there is also a vintage looking tunnel mount 11" Lokar handle. I should look and see how hard it would be to mount the proper one in a CCX.

Hi Nick, thanks for the advice as always.
how's the pedal box coming along?
I have a nice lever, I'll post a picture, but it doesn't have the crank or the tunnel mount bracket.
I'll dig through my diminishing pile of parts again but I don't think I've seen them.

I also have Howe alloy radiator which I need to work out how to mount it?
Any pictures would be good, It's different to the build manual.

Thanks again

Hi Kevin, pedal box is done, master cylinders are on the way and it will get assembled.
I have been making CCX radiator frames to angle them back with the dual (and single for street) pusher fans. You can see most of it here Acton Custom Enterprises Custom Metal for Cobra's
A crank and tunnel mount plate or bracket shouldn't be too difficult for us to figure out.

Thanks Nick,
I definitely need a tunnel mounting bracket and crank for the handbrake.
I've attached a picture of my lever.

I also have a few sheet metal parts which I'm sure of what they are or where they go. can you help please?

I have a pair of pusher motors and fans, I was going to put them on (mainly for show) and have a 16" puller behind the radiator too.

What kind of pusher fans do you have? Can you post photos or send me a pm?

Hey Kevin, that park brake is a nice piece. It looks a lot like originals. I would make a plate with a cable holder rod or bracket that just goes inside the mount bracket on the handle. Effectively just like an original with one side cut off for a single cable and clearance on the inside of the tunnel. That looks like top and bottom of the oil cooler, some nose inside sheet metal, and a bracket for either a hood or trunk prop rod.

Default Dash supports?

What is the diameter of the vertical support rods on an original car?

I think i'm going to use them for show anyway,
I suspect they might be MGB items.
