Question New Windshield recommendation

I have a Contemporary that we built in 1991. I need to replace the windshield glass and wondered if others can tell me which replacements fit the Contemporary the best. I see replacements from Finish Line and Cobra Restorers. Any other recommendations? I know there can be differences in the curves etc. based upon manufacturers. I believe that I used the one from Finish Line many years ago and I believe that the shape was a bit different. It does fit, but it didn't hug the cowl shape as well. It was a bit higher in the middle.

Comments, suggestions, war stories - all appreciated. Thanks.

Zimmy,

Have you tried Fred Gimbel: services

Don't know whether he'd know but it's worth a try.

Zimmy, The Contemporary uses the same windshield as the 427 cars from SA. Go with Cobra Restorers. That's what I've done and I've been very satisfied.

Dan:

Thanks for the feedback. I'll talk to them as well.

Tom:

Good to hear from you. Hope all is well with you and Kay.
I'll check with him if I seem to be having trouble with finding a good replacement. Contemporary seemed to be very true to original, so I am pretty sure that the original ones will also fit best. We'll see. Take care.
