I simply trimmed the steel pad smaller than the AC pedals, filed backplate of alloy pads and drilled three small holes between the ribs on pedals. Two top one low....
Drill through steel pads and use #10 or #8 SS nut and bolt.
Worked great

This is what Stefano' pedal box looks like.

You could make a plate like the tip of the pedal arms and just weld a short bolt to it so it will bolt through your holes.
