The damage says "front&Rear;Suspension" Sounds like a parts car to me, or at least a total tear down. You can get a lot of undamaged cars for less than someone is going to put into this one. plus, it is going to come with a salvage title that could be problematic for the new owner, or a potential other owner down the line. It has an automatic, and no idea what is under the bonnet.

I agree, part it out. There is almost certainly suspension damage since with the really wimpy frames in Cobras (all of them) a hit anywhere transfers to the rest. An earlier post is right: a rebuild exceeds replacement which is why it's here. Value is no more than that of the engine as take off parts like instrument cluster have little value (again, you can get new for not much more). Add "value" of salvage title rebuild and it's toast.

Just can't agree with some of the above posts. Contemporary Cobras were pretty stout and well built roadsters and were, like many of the earlier Cobras and replicas, fairly simple chassis and suspension.
If somebody was looking to get into a good car with a bit of sweat equity and some fab skills, this would be the perfect project. If the "wimpy frame" was damaged all that much, the body would have been toast, but to my eyes, the fiberglass damage is fairly minimal.

These estimates I'm pretty sure come from a full blown rebuild by a "reputable" shop with all the bells and whistles replaced and like new. If one was to replace what needed to be replaced, straighten out any frame members that were slightly out of line (doubtful if there are any) and replace basic pieces like shocks and aluminum pieces I would think you could get into a great car for chump change.
Not sure what it is up to now, but at $23K it was still a bargain, IMHO, given the above consideration. Salvage title? Heck, any Cobra that hits a deer and needs fiberglass replacement is probably going to end up with a salvage title.

Besides, it looks to me to have great wheels, a 427, and a few other niceties that would be worth almost what the bid price is at the moment. I could be wrong- I'm basing this on skimming over the pics last night and noting the high points.
