what to you think. would members here be interested in something like this?
Think about what you are asking here-

As a kit car builder, you would have to design/ build the molds or body bucks, design the body support structure, find an existing chassis to place it on or design a new chassis, come up with and interior design that could be supplied to make it look good, etc...
And then, you would only be able to sell approximately 2 of them before the legal might of Ford Motor Company landed on your doorstep for plagiarizing the design that they own the rights to.
Considering what this legal action may cost, what would be the value of taking on this course of action?

It really doesn't matter that Ford may never build it, it is their design to protect and decide how it will be used.

I'd be curious to hear how much Superformance paid GM for the rights to build the Gran Sport Corvette, which is a much older design.

If you really want one, you would probably have to build it yourself. As long as there is no profit in it, you may get away with building one with no real repercussions.

As Mr. Bruce said, it's all about the money......

A few years back, sum cat at the Dynacorn booth at Carlisle told me that they were payin' GM 7 or 9 % to licence the rites to make the repop Camaro bodys. Who knows what SpF is paying for the Cobras . I'm guessinFoMoCo wants the same for the Mustang bodys Dynacorn makes . As for the GR-1, they got lots invested in R+D so who knows what numbers they'd be lookin' for, if they would even want to get involved.
