Default Daytona coupe in old Monkeys TV show

I was watching a rerun of the Monkeys TV show today. They raced the Monkey machine (GTO) against some evil Germans that had a Daytona coupe. Lots of great shots of the coupe. It was blue with a 13 on the back. The overall appearance of the car looked pretty rough. It must have been just another obsolete race car by the time the show was filmed.

It is worth watching if you can find it.

John

Fantastic stuff - that's a great find!

Some years ago at my company we had a client called David Jones. Whenever his car arrived at our office, we'd all start singing "Here we come... Walkin' down the street... etc".

He never knew.

Thanks for sharing this. I'd never seen it before.

Wonder which Daytona Coupe it is. Not CSX2287, judging by the gap between the doors and hood...

By the way, why does Davey keep shifting his car into Park...?

Well, it is ....creative.

Barris did some awesome stuff, too. And he seemed to be fairly partial for Fords and sb 'Cobra' engines.

What good is a Daytona Coupe anyway if the Monkey Mobile can beat it in a race...

That must've been the way American muscle cars were driven in England back in the 1960's!

I went to school with Mickey Dolanz's daughter back in the 70's. Her name was Amy BLUEBELL Dolanz. Groovy!
