Looking make the car very close to original with some upgrades. In South TX and A/C a MUST. Any Help or sugestions from you club cobra guys will be taken.... Any Pictures of any original coupes will be greatly apprecieated.

Mreid,

I dont think I can top those pics. but here are some more... I like the traditional blue and white and all the racing logos with it. I already know that the # will be the the number 14. For local hero A.J Foyt.

I will be posting up dates as build it.
?????????????????
???????

one question. chose engine size

302------------ stroked to 347 with webers
or
351------------stroked to 427 with webers..
I know I want a 6 speed manual
I already have a 3:54 Jaguar rear.

What's yalls thought????

B&D, I'm not that familiar with your coupe, but many 351w based engines have issues with hood clearance when trying to maximize hp. The Webers may make this less of an issue. The shorter deck 302 based 347 may be a better bet, but check with Ryan to see if this is a significant consideration.

Default deck size

i dont think that the size of the 351 will cause any issues. Ryans Personal car below has a 351 with good size intake. My thought is if I go with small block 427 then I will have all the power I will EVER need. but I dont know if I need it

6 speed all the way, your car is a grand tourer, a 6th gear is magic on the highway.

Nice car, you know that that is the old Contemporary/Upstates Coupe. You will enjoy it. Is he supplying the suspension or is Cobraracing?

I've got to second the use of a 302 block in stead of a 351 block. Just my opinion but the taller 351 block just looks wrong to me. Even at 347, it could be more power than you can effectly use and it looks right.

We did a 5-car Western States Cobra Group display this year at the Sacramento Autorama featuring each type Cobra with slabside, FIA, 427, Daytona and GT40. Ryan's Lesher Motorsports Daytona Coupe looked very nice on display. I had a few different people approach before setup, during the show, and afterwards asking me f he might consider selling his personal Daytona. It has a very authentic look and profile to it. I like Ryan's Daytona alot.

Congratulations, you are going to love it when you get it done and on the road.

Simple - Dart Short Deck stroker 363ci with webers.
Arguably the same reliability & rev-ability as a 347, but with a few extra inches.

Default Upstate Coupe in Red

Congrats B&D in Texas on your Lesher Coupe. I've got the last one Bill Connelly built before Ryan and Crystal bought the molds and tooling. Let me know if you have any questions on the build. Here's what it looks like in red.

Coach had the body shop to raise his scoop 1 1/2" so he could get a large air filter onto the 408.

Smile Eight Stack injection system

I emailed Dale to ask about seals that I had lost from the wire harness and also about their new web site.

Eight Stack Injection- customer installations

I have had several problems because it was installed incorrectly by the builder. I had to call and get them to help me, so far their customer service is great.

My injection system look good. I checked it out mechanical and everything checks out. I should have it running in a few days.
Then it's off to the dyno shop.
I'm already planning on a new 347 for this GT 40. But that will have to wait till this spring.

Dwight
