Default Some shots of CSX2287

Here's some shot of 2287 (The Lost Coupe) as it appeared in Saratoga, NY a few years ago. Thought someone might find them interesting. Now I wish I took about 100 more!

Thanks for sharing those pics!

I spent my teenage years in Saratoga Springs. My Mother and brother still live there. A nice town.

Cheers!

Great pictures, thanks for sharing! It's a one in a million opportunity to see one of the original Coupes in person.

Wish I could have been there...

I'm familiar with the story behind this car, but curious as to who owns this car now.

Is this the one Phil Specter was affiliated with?

We've been lucky to see a Coupe or two at several of the recent SAAC Nationals.

Make a trip to Utah this July for a special treat...

"One of our goals is to have all 6 Daytona Coupes together at this convention. We already have commitments from three of the owners and we will have the resources to get the one in Japan and the one in Switzerland shipped over for this event. We obviously can’t make any promises but we have high hopes. Then we’ll put an original driver in each car for a few exhibition laps. Imagine THAT for a photo opportunity."

Several years ago (mid 90's) there were several Original Coupes 3 or 4 (and I think 1 clone) at Sears Point for Historics, Dan Gurney was there at the time. I have pics.

The cars that were at Sears Point in June of 1995:

CSX2286, CSX2299, CSX2300 and CSX2601

As you know, it is not identified on the poster, but the car has NY plates...and CSX2601 was around those parts when the poster was printed...so that's my guess.

The poster Daytona belonged to Rob Dyson (of ALMS Dyson Motorsports fame) when the picture was taken in the mid-70s. I have no idea whether he still owns it. By the way, the red 427 roadster in the center of that poster is my good old CSX 3121, photographed shortly after I sold it to Dave Ruocco.
