Default Flew the Coupe....to Monterey

I just got word that CoupedUp finally "Flew the Coupe" - to Monterey that is.

I wanted to start this thread so the guys would feel obligated to let the rest of us know how their Monterey weekend went.
Doug emailed me that he and a few of his Daytona Coupe friends made the trip to Monterey and he was ecstatic about the drive up. Doug was kind enough to share some of his excitement with me and I appreciate it. This will be a place where he can share his weekend experiences and how things went with that gathering.

Now if Doug only knew "somebody" who could chronicle or write about this weekend, and if that person knew "someone" who could take great photos...perhaps they could write a magazine article about "Flying the Coupe to Monterey".....just a thought.

I hope that CoupedUp, CoupeCrazy, RonW, Scotty, John, and Badger have a great weekend.
Man, I wish I were there.
So hum along "Do you know the way to Monterey" to the tune of "Way to San Jose".

Larry

What a great time! Was in Monterey from Wed through Sun. Coupe 88 was on display as was 73 and 98 at McCall's Wednesday. Got to see Rob Walton's 2286 at The Quail on Thursday and got to watch it spank the competition in its race on Saturday, lapping cars along the way.

Just an incredible Weekend! AND - NO TICKETS!!! How cool is that?! I've got a couple of photos in my gallery and will try to get some more when I have time.

Doug

Hi Doug,

Great photo of you and Pete - it is nice to see Pete reunited with a car of such significance. Really good to hear that it still runs like mad and is in good hands.
What a great trip.

Larry
