Default What have I found??

I've found a toploader but am not sure exactly what it is. Here is what is on the tag. . . RUGCD MH7 D8TRM A 0269. The case is 24 inches long, the input shaft is 1 1/16 diameter with 10 splines, the input that fits to the flywheel pilot bushing is 1 1/8 inch long and the output shaft has 28 splines. Can you help me out here?

You have a 3 speed overdrive out fo a 1977-78 pickup or mid size car. First gear is 3.29 I believe and 4th is .85 or so. Not really a performance transmission because the gears are small so the teeth are very thin.

Thank you David. Are these any good as core for you to build into a performance transmission? If not I'll just leave it lay on the pile where I saw it.
