If it's like my Cobra, which has considerably less than a 1,000 h.p., the driver might actually be able to go wide open throttle some where AFTER 80 to 90 mph in third gear of higher.
Any speed less or a lower gear will simply go up in smoke on street tires. It is a rare day when I can go 100% throttle on my car. Auto X? Never happen, even with slicks.
With the computer able to control the boost in each gear, that should help with the traction problem. Nelson Racing does some very nice work, for those that can afford it. Cheers.
