My main questions are which kit would be best for the 30-40k price range. I prefer to purchase from a reputable builder (levy Gordon or someone like that) as opposed to a guy in his garage. Any reputable builders in my price range? Basically the only kits I am aware of are the FFR, Superformance, and Backdraft so I have no idea what I am talking about.

ERA, Unique, and Contemporary are other companies you should be looking at. Best bang for the buck is used when it comes to certain cars, otherwise, expect to spend $40,000+++ for a new car built with quality parts.

Just across the river from you in SC . I`ve got an ERA . Just a thought , but go to Cobra Country and see whats available there .
There are several Cobras in the CSRA ... Some Superformance and FFRs that I know of .
I`ll be happy to try and answer any questions you have on an ERA ... not up on the others .
