Earl,
Cobra Promotions
questions@cobrapromotions.net
MrMustang was running Cobra Promotions and was producing our jackets, but I know he was trying to sell most of this bussiness. I didn't know the link was dead but it would be nice if you contacted him at the above email or possible he might read this post.

Dan,
While it is true, Cobrapromotions is up for sale, I am still quite actively running it. However, It was my understanding after the "Polo shirt" fiasco the Deep South Cobra Club changed it's design and went with another vendor. I only took the DSCC page down last month, and had not had an order in well over a year. If this is not the case, then kindly let me know.
Sincerely,
Bill S

FastLaneCobra (I mean CompSnake),
My name is no secret here, not at all. it's just easier to type Bill S. than it is to type Bill S.

What do you do for a living make cobra t-shirts?
Is that a real cobra in the picture? Do you own a real cobra?

Bill,
Ed Kamptner had a new design on our clubs insignia instead of the one I have as my avatar. The club never voted on the new design and I'm sure he doesn't remember how hard it was to pick the original design. Personally I don't like the new design and would have voted a no, but I'm no longer in charge of anything. My wife and I have the original jackets and for the price I paid they were top notch. I don't really know much about the shirts but I guess if Earl wants a jacket he is to late.

I purchased Cobra Promotions from Bill a few months ago.
I recently noticed a couple of searches for DSCC items on the web site. When
I was re-building the site, I inadvertantly left off the DSCC items. I just added
the shirts and hats back to the site this morning. While I have not tried the
embroidery files, I do have the source files. If anyone would be interested in
either of the 2 DSCC designs I received, please let me know.
If you use the URL posted above, it should redirect you to the new site which is
located at http://www.replicapromotions.com
Thanks!

Ted,
Our club had a lot of problems with the past owner of Cobra Promotions and for awhile Bill took down his web site tied to ours. I purchased a very nice club jacket from the first owner for a sum of $95.00, which I see is no longer on your web site. This jacket had a cobra on the back and we could get it in the colors of our personal cobra, it was worth possibly a lot more than the $95.00 quoted. Some Cobra friends saw my jacket and wanted ones just like it and since the pictures from the original jacket were still up on Bills site they ordered two jackets. They were highly disappointed when the order came in as the jackets were some real crappy looking things that were not even close to what was still posted on the web site. I hope if you plan on making any sales to our Cobra group that we actually get what is posted on your web site or it might be better if we just go back to cutting all ties with Cobra Promotions.

Dan, thanks for the info. I was not aware of any of that history. I was simply checking to see if there
was any interest since I noticed a couple of searches in my log files. It's entirely
up to your club, I have no problem either way. That might partially explain the 1 jacket
I have that I got in inventory, or maybe not, I'll never know. I have it listed on
my site on a closeout sale right now since I have no background on it.
I currently don't have any jackets listed on the site since I have not found any
that I think are worth what I would have to charge for them. Unlike Bill, I purchased an
embroidery machine and my wife and I do are doing all the work ourselves. It costs me more to do things
on an individual order basis, but I have more customization options that way and
I am not at someone else's mercy when it comes to the quality of the work.
I can't change how I got here, I can only change where I am going. Thanks for the info,
and if your club would like me to take down the link, please let me know and I will remove it.

OK, Dan and I have traded a few emails. As I said, I can't change how I got
here, I can only change where I am going....
I apparently have the incorrect version of the club logo on my web site, the car should
definately not be yellow. I will correct that in a couple of days by running a sample with
the correct colors and I will then update the site. Ed has said I can leave the links up, I asked
him about it when I purchased the company a couple of months ago.
If any of the DSCC members would like anything, please let me know. I am more than willing to
make up a sample of any item and send it to the club. I currently have 2 different versions of the logo
and I can make whichever version your club wants.

Question for Dan
Dan,
I know the jackets are cool, but this thread hasn't had a post on it in almost 2 years, and I don't think the jackets are availalbe anymore as they were originally offered.
What do you think about removing it as a "Sticky" from the DSCC forum?

The 'original' jackets are not available anymore and Cobra Promotions changed hands 2 years ago. I've had the logo available on a different set of jackets for almost 2 years and have not had any orders for them.
If anyone is interested in the logo on any of the jackets I currently offer, by all means let me know. If there is a different style jacket you would like, please let me know as I have several different outerware suppliers.
Bill was having them made by a supplier and had to deal with order minimums and set up fees. Now, we make every one individually with no set up fees and no minimum order. I'd be happy to provide a sample to your club at any time if you can agree on what type of jacket you would like.
You can unsticky this thread if you like, start a new one, whatever works best for you. It's your club and your sub-forum... Just an FYI, I still get hits from this thread almost every week...

Terry,
The man in charge of making things a sticky for us at the Deep South Cobra Club sold his cobra and moved on a long time ago. T Falk is the new owner of Cobra Promotions and if you follow the link he can help you in getting gear with our logo for our club and yes I know you can’t get the original jackets but right now we need a new president and Vice President or you can kiss the club goodbye.
