Would like to contact miami.ft lauderdale owners
I've wanted to build one of these since I was 14. I can finally afford to do it and I'm getting ready to order a WCC in the next few weeks.
Trouble is, I've never been up close to, or sat in any Cobra replica or original. I've seen plenty of them on the road here in Miami Beach, and drooled over them in magazines since I was knee-high to a grasshopper.
I'd like to get an opportunity to sit in any replica be it FFR, ERA, or best...WCC. Before I plunk down 22K on the kit, 8K on drivetrain, 5K on paint and so on and so on.
I want to drive it, but fully understand why that may not be possible Just sitting in the driver's seat and seeing what it feels like would be more than enough.
I am going with WCC because it looks like the biggest and most comfortable. I am not that interested in authenticity and prefer driver comfort. I intend to drive this car everywhere and as much as possible. At 6'3'' and 250, I need the space.
BUT! Since I've never sat in ANY original or replica AC...who knows? Maybe I can do an FFR...athough with all the moron drivers around here I would feel better with that steel cage around me and my wife.
Point is...HELP!
Sorry for the length...I like the sound of my own typing, it seems

Mannye,
Definetly come to the Roundup.
There should be plenty of Cobra's convoying from your area.
Randy Hunter will have his "Hunter" Cobra's represented and there will be lots of other manufacturers as well.
Get in, climb over and get a feel for them, this is your opportunity!
You may even get lucky and find an open seat during the Poker Run!
Either way, this will be a great opportunity to see many different cars and about every option available!
Good luck with your project.
We will be here to assist you during your build.
Give me a call or e-mail and we can talk about it.
Hope to see you in November.
BTW, all of these Cobra's are rather short in their stature....
Dont let "Protection" be a decision maker for these cars.
Most every bumper you will see will be eye level in a Cobra anyway!
You dont really stand a chance in a side impact.
Treat these cars like motorcycles and you will do just fine!
There will be plenty of guys at the Roundup that will share their experiences with you and help lead you in the best direction for your Cobra.

Hi, I haven't been on the board's here for a while, been really busy, but I have a Lonestar Cobra which you can see. I live in Hialeah, just recently purchased a home in Miami Springs but am not moved in yet. If that's a blue with white stripe cobra you see in southbeach, with a stereo system, It was probably me. I'm 6'3" and weight 290 pounds and fit fine into this car, just have trouble getting out, hehe. Send me an E-mail at RLBOLA@aol.com and we'll set up a day and time where I can show you the car and you see about space. I went with the Lonestar for the same reason you choose, because we're big, and they had a bigger chassis then some of the other's. Anyways, take care.

Actually, I am planning on attending. I just hope that nothing comes up and hope my finals at school are done with by that time. I would love to see some other snakes and ask some questions also. I have been thinking of adding a supercharger but would like to see one or two others with one on to see how it looks and to ask questions about it before I actually do it to mine, and this roundup should be a great chance to do that. Besides, I still don't know how much HP I have under the hood so when I get there, i'll be dynoing it for sure.

Hey Mannye and Ralph
Your best bet is the Reptile Roundup , lot's of Cobra's there to check out.
I'm from Miami too, and so is Frank H . We both have Backdraft Racing for the same reason as you. Frank's 6'3 and 250lbs and I'm 6' and 200lbs. My friend Manny from Davie is 6'2 and 260lbs. He has a beautiful Backbraft as well. You can check out the Backdraft Cobra's right here if you like becuse the Co. is in Pembroke Pines. Reg the owner is super. You can see and might even be able to test drive one.
Manny and I are leaving for the Roundup on friday afternoon.
Frank H and a few other's will be leaving early saturday morning, either way you guys are welcome to convoy up with us. The Roundup is NOT TO MISSED, trust me!!!!!!
