Default Atlanta get together for Sunday 12/29

What better a way to close out the year than a Cobra gathering?
It's supposed to be in the 60 degree range on Sunday.

Alex, I took your suggestion and moved the thread. What's the problem with your engine? The only reason I chose Dillard was the trip in the country and the Dillard House Restaurant. It doesn't have to be that far. Do you know of a place with a nice two-lane, scenic route? There isn't anything wrong with the last place.

I just want to ride!

Default Sunday

Tony,

I am in. But where is the Dillard House? I've heard of it but can't place it.

I hope it does warm up to the high 50's or low 60's. I hope the weather guy dosen't miss it too badly.

Hector

As I was driving by Frankies 2 weeks ago to go to 5 seasons (around corner)a gorgeous blond with 7 inch high beams tried to jump in the carLOL:Thought she might show up again with her girl friend
About the engine there is a thread on the 'all cobra talk' forum "Boy, am I sorry I have a 427 SO" Some of the boys complain the SO's self destruct at 10k miles. They've been yaking 3 pages worth. I've got a 6k rev limiter so I should not have problems.

I might be game as well, if the thermometer approaches 60. What time were you thinking, and meeting place?

BE
I don't know where Dillard is. We had 8 or 9 cobras at the 5 seasons on nov 23. I don't think you were there. The only black car was Mikes. They will rope off some lot for us this time. Its the old Fridays on Roswell rd just inside 285 behind Frankies sports bar. Also in Feb the lifestyles radio show on talk 1340 will be there Im waiting for the exact dates. Ran into them last weekend at % seasons had the cobra with me so they want to do a show and include us. They do cooking cigars etc. amd interview us. Should be some fun

Default where?

I'm in... just pick a place. I took a few days off and need to do something besides stare at the empty garage.

(at least Randy has something to do in his garage....CLEAN IT!!)

Hi Alex;
Yea, I wanted to make the run on Nov. 23rd, but had committed to another couple to watch the OSU/Mich game at American Pie (just up the street), but it was standing room only, so we came down to Frankies---I saw all the cobras in the lot, and my buddy and I did stroll through quickly, but did not come inside. I saw Hector leaving as we walked outside---a beatimous sight indeed (the car, not Hector----no offense Hector!).

Anyway, 5 Seasons works for me, if that's the chosen spot. I don't recall where exactly Dillard is either, although I think I've been through there on 2 wheels. I think it's in NE GA, and may be lacking enough time to go that far.

Lemmeknow...

Tony
I'll watch this thread and see what the final plans are. I'll try and make it if the weather is nice enough to get some of the cars out, otherwise I'll be getting my garage ready for Maurice to drop my car off

Randy

I know Clyde is ready - he has had his jackstands perfectly positioned since early November and I don't even have any

Sounds good. For those who don't know, Dillard is up in the northeast corner of the state, Rabin County. The Dillard House is a big country restaurant in the foot hills. There is a fair amount of four lane and some really nice two-lane scenery. It is a bit of a haul for lunch (takes an hour and a half or so to get there), but we can make a pre-planned future event out of it. Might be fun.

So is it 5 Seasons at 12:30?

More like 1:30 or 2:00 would be better for me. Do you think ya'll will still be around then?

Five Seasons it is! last time we started showing up between 12 and 12:30 and started leaving around 3:00. When you get a dozen or so Cobra BSers, all you can do is keep your feet up and your head down.

Randy, weather's going to be nice (sunny and 61). Work faster on Saturday and make a hole for Sunday. Is the car still on track? I'm sure you're not calling the Weavers regularly. Remember, the squeeky wheel gets the grease. I'd love to see that baby before you get too far along with assembly. Besides, I've got to show you my new shifter set up.

Take I-75 to I-285 on the north side. Go east on I-285 to Roswell Rd. Exit right and follow for about 1 1/2 blocks. You will see Frankies on the right, 5 Seasons is behind Frankies. Just follow the driveway around.
See you there.

My part's car has the new rear diff in it, so I may show in that now that I actually have a LEGAL tag for it. Cobra is still down with the throttle issue. The allen bolt that I need to "easy out" must be NASA grade aircraft tungsten. Did a great job of dulling 3 titanium drill bits so far.
