Nothing like forced air induction :D
Well, now that my hands are warm enough to type, thought I'd post.
I fixed the Cobra throttle linkage on SPF#250 today using a roll pin and some other ideas I came up with. I have felt a little something has been missing in my life lately, and today I found it . I forgot how much fun these things are to drive--especially at the horsepower levels a 40 something degree day will produce. It almost felt like the first time again getting used to the pedals, steering, etc. Went for a quick shakedown spin, ignition was breaking up again around 4800 RPM. Came back, checked plug wires, rotor, coil, then I saw it--similar as last time. That damn stator star wheel in the distributor had a nice haze of rust on it. Cleaned it, and it ran great.
Enjoyed the blast of fresh air. While getting gas, two people came up to me, one was best friends with another local SPF owner who lives not far from me (it's that Blue with white stripe one I keep seeing). I told him to tell his friend about DSCC and ClubCobra and mentioned we meet (hopefully to drive one of these days ) once a month. Anyways, be safe out there and see you all soon.
