Default Nothing like forced air induction :D

Well, now that my hands are warm enough to type, thought I'd post.

I fixed the Cobra throttle linkage on SPF#250 today using a roll pin and some other ideas I came up with. I have felt a little something has been missing in my life lately, and today I found it . I forgot how much fun these things are to drive--especially at the horsepower levels a 40 something degree day will produce. It almost felt like the first time again getting used to the pedals, steering, etc. Went for a quick shakedown spin, ignition was breaking up again around 4800 RPM. Came back, checked plug wires, rotor, coil, then I saw it--similar as last time. That damn stator star wheel in the distributor had a nice haze of rust on it. Cleaned it, and it ran great.

Enjoyed the blast of fresh air. While getting gas, two people came up to me, one was best friends with another local SPF owner who lives not far from me (it's that Blue with white stripe one I keep seeing). I told him to tell his friend about DSCC and ClubCobra and mentioned we meet (hopefully to drive one of these days ) once a month. Anyways, be safe out there and see you all soon.

Even though it was 39 to 40 deg Sunday I had to have a fix behind the wheel. Met a neighbor Sat nite that has a dino so we met Sunday to take each other for a ride. I could hardly fit in the dino but jees that thing could corner! He wants to get rid of it and likes the cobra. He knew of Ullyses and his car but didn't have the low down on where it came from. Filed him in ofcourse. I'll be taking him down to meet the Parham's soon. Do they still have the Titanium one??

What's the Ulysses and the car reference? Lost me there. The titanium one was still there 1.5 weeks ago.

Apperantly Ulyses bought an early SPF with a 427 alum engine and had it in a showroom for a short time. He was trying to sell these and some other excotics i guess. I also ran into him last summer out front of the capital grill. I was there when he pulled up so I said hello etc

Ulysses... didn't he go on an Odyssey once? (sorry, couldn't help myself)

I feel like mine might be stubling a bit, also. The timing light says everything is fine. I may take a look at that star wheel in the dist. Would a blown power valve cause that, also?

Just got back from my Nigeria trip last night. All this talk about chilly weather in in Georgia, I was sweating my tail off in Africa (as you might expect). Believe me, being cold here is way better than being warm there! Even though we had an AK47-toting escort in our van as we moved to and from the airport, I spent a lot of time looking over my back. On our return trip to the hotel, our van started spitting and sputtering right as we got into the biggest ghetto I've ever seen in my life (and I've been to a lot of places). We were freakin out! The escort only had 30 rounds in his magazine, I told him to save three for us! I've been told that when things get rough, those guards have a tendency to drop the piece and run. GREAT!

Nice to be back in God's country! Man, have we got it made!
