Smile "Southern" engine at Barrett-Jackson auction

It has come to my attention that one of the Cobras in the Barrett-Jackson auction had a Southern Automotive engine in it. Do the commentators ever mention the engine builders on TV during the auction? Just wondering.

I was watching and they described the engine in Eleanor as a 465hp V8 and mentioned that one of the continuation cars had a 'rebuilt to original" 427 side oiler that they said was rare since more 427 cars has 428s.... no mention of Bill.

I tried to find info on Barrettt-Jackson.com but the site was so slow during the auction I gave up. I'd love to know if Bill was represented!

I watched it for a little while and they did mention a couple of engine buiders- mainly when they were describing the street rods that were up for auction. But there was no mention of Bill while I was watching. . .

Post Barrett Jackson Pcitures

I just heard from Susan at Southern and there is a link to pictures of Bill's engine (and a Cobra too) in All Cobra Talk from last week. The post is near the bottom of the 2nd page of the All Cobra Talk posts and the link takes you to several Barrett-Jackson cars. Look for PICT0044.JPG .

I actually think the engine in pict0084.jpg could be a Southern Automotive motor as well. Why? Cause it has all the trimmings that Bill usually puts on there inlcuding turkey pan. Pict0044.jpg is a SAE motor though confirmed in a prior post.
