June sounds fine. (No, your eyes do not decieve you, Mr. excel-"cheap-ass"-guru will actually plan to attend. )

What cost should I prepare my wife for? If possible, could I acquire a copy of the tech inspection guidelines ahead-of-time so I can get the car prepared? Please advise on nearby hotels, especially if we plan to get a group rate somewhere.

Embarassed to ask this one... uh... where's Roebling?

GeorgiaSnake 09-30-2003 04:44 PM

Keith it's south of you

Tech inspection - BB' FE's need 18 catch cans on the block - no oil on the track. :3DSMILE:

Keith, Roebling is about 20 minutes west of Savannah. Pooler, GA, once to be home to a large Mercedes plant that got the plug pulled on it a few weeks ago. Abundant "cheap ass" hotels at the corner of main drag to Pooler and I95. Cigarette smell and truckers thrown in for no extra charge :D .

If you guys are allowed to pass while I am on fire then how will I keep those Porch Sewing machine cars behind me? Their drivers will never get near a car on fire just like Frankenstein(sounds german ritght).

Can you just see about a dozen Porsche drivers behind my smoking Cobra all with their left hand stuck out the window telling me I am number EIN.

FYI all: Shelby AMERIcan Auto Club (SAAC) of Alabama is having a track apping event at Talledega GP December 14, 2003: $150 to enter. Warm up for the WWW o4? I'll be there. cb

Johan,

I followed your event last year with great interest. Had hoped to be able to attend but was already committed. I have been running with the gang at Gainsville for the last several events. While I will never be very fast I am steady and enjoy the great times we have when we get together. I hope you have room for a new guy. Either date could work for me at this early date. Just let me know if I can help out in any way.

Rubel--

I don't know why you seem so concerned with keeping the Porsches behind you, thats all history after the first turn-until they come up to lap you. By the way, since you are upping the ante, I have too, my four banger turbo has been upgraded to be suitable to come out and play with you big boys, so the naturally aspirated car I brought last time will be left at home------

I don't care when this shindig takes place, Erik, Adam and I will be there and we will bring our sewing gear.

Rick

Let the smack talking begin. Something tells me this is going to be a long thread. We had what 20 pages or something last year?

Ok, Porsches rule, cobras suck, No I mean Cobras rule, P cars suck, damn it I can't make up my mind :D

At least we can all agree on Hooters.

Chiperb 09-30-2003 07:41 PM

Found afterward I was running less than 5 lbs of boost-returning with 10lbs+ and some more go-fast goodies. cb

Spyderman 09-30-2003 08:07 PM

no sweatexceljewru, you "are in with me, we'll buddy up and split it all, even stevenm. Last year I spent 1-200 on all, mostly gas. Gas and beer, gas and beer. Got some tums finally, but not before the sheets got up and ran out of the room in the middle of the night. I think I can borrow a winnerbago and we'will stay at the track, I'll be happy to split thaT .
David Crace, Lolas rule fool, remeber muy little yelow friend ?cb 10 LBS OF BOOST WILL GET YOU THROWN IN THE SLAMMER.can you be m,ore discreet, and how many friends are we allowed to bring ?. Hey flinstone, got that part yet ?!

ToyCollector 09-30-2003 08:18 PM

Sorry Spydee, busy at Spacely Sprockets lately. Did you ever see how fast Fred could go? :D I'd have the advantage of using Boston baked beans for "boost" versus what he ran in the pre-historic days. Plus I'd have lot's of beer money left over in lieu of springing for 110 Octane. Hope my Flintstone mobile doesn't run over the back of you and totally flatten that yellow Lola of yours and transform it into a drag co-efficient of .010 ;) Then again you usually have it going down the track backwards or sideways :3DSMILE: :p .

excelguru 09-30-2003 08:21 PM

 ...exceljewru... ROFL!!!

Spyderman 09-30-2003 08:24 PM

Lets not get persomal and attack me everytime I post. Poor Johan wants to know which days most people can come and I can't come in June, don't even know her.

ToyCollector 09-30-2003 08:28 PM

Could you come in July then? :D :D

GeorgiaSnake 09-30-2003 08:30 PM

I did a June once and still wish I hadn't. Did a Julie too. But I'll take whatever Johan offers and will even offer $, time, cooking or certifiying the Hooters real and fake.

Either date is fine with me - take June and save a little for the garage.

Someone tell me, have I been violated by Spyderman?

Besides I hear tells that Spyderman is Johan's alter-ego.
