Rick
I hope the Porsche guy is going to be ok. If I might ask who is he and how is he doing? I assume we meet him last year. |
I happen to know the answer to some of these questions, but don't say where you heard it.. The guy that ran POC has had a sudden health problem (his wife is not well either).
We wish them speedy recoveries. As it stands, the track is Johan's Tuesday(29th) and Wednesday(30th), and I believe he has plans to also fiddle around there Monday(28th) so that he can try "Drifting" with out hitting anybody, but be home in time for the party. Sunday is available and Johan has contacted the track to secure it. Saturday the track has been rented by a guy with a real Ferrari GTO. Johan tried to contact him today to see if we can all share. The bottom line is that there are two days at least and JW is trying to get more. |
Two days work for me, and tell Johan happy to share financially in the 3rd if transmissions are included at that point ;) .

I know some drivers suffer from fagite in June....
|
HOW WELL do you know them?
|
Sorry, I meant fatigue...!
|
Glad you know fatigue too. I am kicking her ass by running. :p

Monday (28) Tuesday(29) Wednesday(30)
Hi all,
Jim Frazier of POC is ill indeed, so I'm sure you join with me in wishing him well. The weekend prior to the " 24 hours of Willis" is up in the air and not something to be counted on at this time. The 24 hours of Willis is so named because we will have three 8 hour days of track time which = 24 hours. There will be no corner workers Monday the 28th , forcing us to do a very limited schedule with only a very few cars on the track at a time, but Tuesday and Wednesday we should have a nice, full schedule. The welcome party is still Monday night like last year(or whenever Daisy shows up to get things going for us). Sorry about the change, but I have no control over this and feel that we will all still get to run plenty of laps in a relaxed safe atmosphere in keeping with the original intent. JW |
Johan--
My son Adam and I are really looking forward to the get together--his brother Erik can't make it this year and is already whining about it. Adam has volunteered to lend a hand with anything you wish. His friends call him "forklift" and when you meet him you will understand why so if you have a 30 gallon dump-can, he's your man. See you in June, Rick |
Johan,
Thanks for the update. Looking forward to this years Willis and the BBQ Monday night. Are you going to send out an itinerary like you did last year. Have A Great Day David, |
There is a new thread... the 24 hours of willis.
I think there is going to be a party every night... Loss of the POC event means that Monday is now a track day, so who can drive all day and party all night besides me ? Should the party be on Sunday ? |
Spydie
It should be pretty easy to drive that pinto powered go cart you call a car. ;) |
That Pinto kicked my arse again 2 weeks ago at Roebling. I added 2 mirrors to my car just so I could see him. Should I send Spydee the bill for the mirrors? I think it is time I lose the mirrors and just say I didn't see that yellow roller skate. ;) :D

Johan,
The Florida gang is driving up Sunday so our talents (if you want to call it that) are available as early as that afternoon. We will plan for the party on Monday if that's what you prefer. Let me know if there is anything we can do to help. Ed |
At the rate you drive, you'll be lucky to get there by Wednesday !
