Thumbs up Vegas Report

I wore my Deep South Cobra Club Jacket knowing all to well that it was COLD in Vegas. I had a women come up to me in the Vegas airport and ask if I owned a Cobra because of my jacket. Later her husband and I talked as I was trying to get our luggage off the pick up before it went bye me anymore times and the wife would really get pissed. The couple were from Dallas and the husband would be getting his new BackDraft Racing Cobra from Reg after Reg showed it off at the Reptile Roundup gathering. Later in the week I met another Cobra owner with a Midstates. I saw a few Cobras on the strip from the many Dream car rental places that rented Cobras and other exotic cars. They also had a CSX aluminum Cobra at Imperial Palace. I went looking to win the Cobra at the Paris Casino but found out it was gone. Who wants a H2 Hummer now in it's place when a SPF Cobra is up to win for only fifty cents. I found out that they sent the Cobra over to the Tropicana Casino, and someone won it three days later. When I went to the Tropicana I found a slot with three Cobra symbols and for fifty cents and these three symbols you could win a car but there was no car. I found out that a new Cobra was on order and it would be placed on the racks above the slots when it arrived. When the new Cobra comes in, it will be ready for a new owner as I didn't get the three symbols together to win the Cobra, maybe on my next visit to Vegas. My wife and I had a great time seeing how money is spent building Casino after Casino on the strip. I think the wife has a big share of the next Casino going up in Vegas.

Dan
You saw the guy who was getting the Silver Backdraft that was on the trailer at the Reptile Roundup that is great. If he is reading this tell him we tried to wipe all the fingerprints and drool off the paint before it was hauled to Texas.

Glad to see you had a great time in vegas and too bad you did not win a cobra. You did miss a great time in Gainesville/Ocala.

The Reptile Roundup has grown from 20 cobras sitting in the rain to 74 cars sitting at the Garlits Museum. This event may soon rival the DV spring fling.

Talking

Ruble,
I hope Ed has picked a date for Reptile Roundup III so I won't wind up going someplace else. We have a year to work on the next one.

The Vegas Factory Five Nationals was indeed a grand event, complete with dust delays.

Talking with several Cobra pilots back here in St Louis, I find that they don't get to play like this, except for Run & Gun once a year.

This can be changed.

Anyone interested in a 3 or 6 hour enduro under NASA rules at Gateway International Raceway over Memorial Day Weekend?

The Cobras that are not prepared for full race can do NASA High Performance Driving Experiance rules the same weekend at different times.
