Johan - Thanks for the opportunity to thrash my car around Roebling for two days! While the "car" probably doesn't appreciate it I sure do and with your permission will be setting aside the time next year as well. Happy B-Day to WILLIS and thanks to your entire family for being terrific hosts!
BTW, I won't comment on passing until I drive like M. Schumacher or buy a car like TC's - I promise!!!
If you can email me your address I would appreciate it - thanks!

Rick,
It was an absolute pleasure seeing you again and meeting Adam. He is one funny witty guy and a hell of a driver by the looks of things. I really appreciate your imparting knowledge during the trip to Andrew and he and I will forever be grateful. You and your kids are welcome here anytiime.
Thanks for straightening me out on the Cup Car thing. I don't know much...but you clearly have the Cup car of boats...and Stuttgart originated race cars. I am appalled at what I saw your tires turn into and share your concern and dismay as I run them in a smaller size. Assolutely unconscienable and Hoosier should feel the same way.
Johan,
This event is an absolute highlight of the year every year, and I am honored to be a part of it. The time spent getting to learn a REAL Cup Car was invaluable. We came home only to realize Karen left 2 gallons worth of Brunswick stew still in the freezer...my apologies. Best wishes to Catherine, Willis, and the girls for a fun time!! Hope my trailer is not in the way at Elliotts when you get there.
Good thing Spydie never spent time in my enclosed trailer BTW!
Terry,
The footage you have that you shared is priceless and I am SOOO impressed as always with how those SPFs hold up to those situations.
Johan, how would you like footage via video? 8mm or VHS?

Thanks for the clarification about the name of the car I passed on the OUTSIDE in the Carosel turn 6. No, not yours, but it was close enough.
TC, just bring over what you have in Hi 8.
Am I to understand that we have no more pisstures ? I am assolutely amazed that we have seen nothing yet of the orange patrol.
One last thing, please keep the garden art private and post no pictures of it for reasons that will become clear as time goes on. Sptdee found it and he has plans to do something with it.

Johan-
You are absolutely right, it was NOT my car that you passed in the carosel. I did get passed by a mostly left turn kind of car (not yours, but close enough) on the straight once, though. It made an odd low pitched kind of noise so it must have had two extra cylinders.
I have some pictures that I will try to post when I get home this evening--a few are of cars and not Hooter's Girls, though since Adam was doing much of the photography not many. We have a great "Orange Patrol" shot that I'll forward.

Rick, I love your car, cup or pup. It looks great, sounds fantastic, runs like a scalded dog, and I could see myself driving one someday. I'm jealous.
That said, how come you only ran one lap ?

Johan-
Thank you, its a fast one and it will take some getting used to. My best laps were in the 1:16's, about 4 seconds off where Corey Friedman would run in the same car so I have work to do.
I didn't go out in the non race for three reasons: 1. I was out of fuel and would have to go get the cans filled and 2. My second set of Yokos were going away and 3. THE REAL REASON- I was tired and when you are tired you make mistakes--not being totally familiar with the car I opted to do the smart thing and put it on the trailer.
It was great watching you and Spydee weave through traffic and I wish that I had the opportunity to have film of you blowing past me but that will have to wait for next time. Get that RSR of yours dialed in for the December PCA race at Roebling, its a great group and I know that you would enjoy yourself.

What a trip. Glad it is over. I was really HOT HOT HOT, and the tempertures was too warm too.
All did as good as could be expected under the conditions, but some did not take it seriously enough, and some took it too serious. Just follow the little yellow Pinto and learn how to drive. Period.
I thought Rubels car was the best looking with the cool tires and rims. Most racey looking and did not catch fire like last year. Ruble, it is a 4 speed, don't be afraid to put it in thhird baby.
Jim Popmerry was good in the vette, or was it his wife driving ?
The guy that looked like "snuffy" was all smiles and having fun. The Silver car was a drag race for sure.
Ed with his shirt off made one of the Korner workers Horny, so lets watch that in the future.
Adam somebody was a funny guy.
Toy collector has really improved a LOT and gave me a run for the money, a loud run. His exhaust goes right in my ear. Dave crace's 911 now sounds like a Porsche 917, and seems to be turning into a real race car quick. He drives like Steve Mqueen.
Cracker drives like Steve the queen, what happened to the Cobra being delivered ?
Agingracefully I know why you did not run. You were afraid Ed was gonna nudge you off the track too.
Ed should get the Tony Stewart award. Either Terry got nudged, or he sneezed real bad going in to turn 8, cause he sort of just went straight.
Looking forward to next year.

Well, there was some concern for folks who didn't like being lapped/passed, but I was just tired and lazy with no other real excuse other than I had made it through 3 days with a new car and hadn't managed to screw it up and the thought of taking it home in one functioning piece was just too much to resist.
Adam says that the little perv in the pinto is pretty funny too.

John, I will have PM'd you mine in about 3 minutes. Thx in advance. Should be getting about 6 from Dave Crace. JO, while I have your attention...I broke a pin in my camera where the compact flash goes in and need it fixed. Camera is less than a year old, but it bent/broke like by my inserting CF card wrong way so maybe not a warranty claim. Any recommendations on where to bring, etc.?

I brought a Cobra, but as I started it to get it out of the trailer, it blew an exhaust manifold gasket . I was all alone at the track and the car sounded like chitty chitty bang bang. I headed over to Pooler in it and happed in to the Jemison Inn parking lot. Lo and behold, there was the Deep South Cobra Club, with beer, chicken, a chair, an awning, and a Dodge diesel pickup truck all at my disposal. After a few beers and a delicious dinner, I was on my way in Jonesy's Pickup (thanks again), but the Cobra was done for the weekend. I HAD to drive the Lola, it was the best I could muster on short notice. I promise to again invite faster cars next year, as I did this year, but they will probably chicken out as usual. I still wish I had borrowed Rubles car since he was nice enough to offer it, but somehow there is never enough time to do everything.
