Jay, you're taking this personally for Ed. I mean really, it's like the Ed slamming that never ever happened here has hit you personally as if it (there is no "IT", but.......anyways...) was aimed directly at you. I don't understand! We don't want to take this away from Ed. But, after IV was over, we all waited to hear what was raised... most were disappointed. There was never an explanation, and then *poof* - Ed was gone. He had every reason to be gone, the man is trying to start his business up in a new place. But people didn't know. They figured . . . aaahhhhh, maybe 1 post?? It took 3 threads starting up, 3+ months later!

That, too, is OK. But all that is going on here is everyone is saying, "HEY! What's up?! Will there be a Fling V? Will it be like IV? Are we planning on devoting our efforts to CF again? If so, what means are we using to raise funds? "

These are all legitimate questions.

Til the day I die, I will always believe that someone going on the defensive for no reason appears to be admitting guilt. It's just not always true, but man, it LOOKS that way to people. So, if Ed has nothing to feel that way about, why is he defensive?

We are NOT trying to take the fling away from him. The people here asking questions are trying to make #5 the best yet, like Mike said.

I think the first angry post here was from me when I felt like my right to speak out was being called into question. I'm over that, now. Amazing what 2 hours of laundry will do for a man.

There are still a lot of questions on the table, and frankly, if Ed says the Fling is in Knuckle Junction and it will be run just like DVSF IV, then well, Jay, have fun. I don't think that is what everyone wants. If you disagree with this thread, then boycott it or ignore it, but don't tell us to STFU. It is everyone here's right to say what they please. Not yours to police it. Leave that to Ron or Brent.

In closing, and I'm off this thread for the night, I want to say that I'm sorry if this dialogue is causing unrest or bad feelings. Never the intent. But I'm not going to change course. Nor is anyone else who feels strongly what I do. I'm not the only one. I'm sorry some people are not mature enough to relax for a minute and accept CHANGE as a positive route to enjoyment. I am sorry I talk a lot.

But I'm not sorry for the message I've intended the whole time. And I'm not alone.
