We are taking part, and it is NOT "Ed's gig". Ed said SO.

He doesn't have to let go anything, he is in it and no one is asking him to turn it over to anyone. I don't see any volunteers in this thread for that position. What I do see are bunch of us convinced that this is "OUR EVENT" and tying to participate early on, rather than at the last minute like we are always asked to and then told what the surprises are.

Yes WE DO WANT TO HAVE A COBRA GET TOGETHER. This is it. This has always been our Gettogether. You are not suggesting if we don't let Ed do it his way, we should go somewhere else and have one of our own, simply because we have some suggestions..

I suppose we could do that, but we like this one. We have other events we go to, what is wrong with this one?

Why in the world we want to find another city who will let us squeal and peel. What is wrong with London?

I think while you think we are going about this the wrong way, you too might be guilty of the same.
