Thanks to Those Who Supported DVSF V
I'd like to take this time to thank all the members on Club Cobra that supported Double Venom Spring Fling V this year. We had 110 actual paid that attended, and 130 total paid. Gives us something to build on for next year. Hope all that attended made it home safe, had a good time, and will be back next year.

Jack,I want to thank you and your club for taking the reins from Ed Combs after his daughters problems with a brain tumor and then Ed having a stroke. I understand his daughter is doing fine and being able to have all in attendance talk via cell phone with Ed on Friday to wish him well was great. I know that Ed really wanted to make the trip down but I understand long trips make him feel dizzy at this time, for sure next year Ed. This was my fifth event that I have attended and I didn't even miss downtown London, as in the past years the reason I attended all the events was to see past friends and meet new ones at the Double Venom Spring Fling, where ever it's held. Of course next year I'm hopeing it will be held in Cape Coral so I can enjoy the cooler weather and I won't have to travel as far. At first I thought I might have to bring along a snow shovel because of the winter Ohio had, but then when I arrive I find out the weather is actually hotter than in Florida. Again thanks to you and your club for a great weekend.

 Jack & Co.,
Thanks for taking on the task of the Fling! It was a great event and I know everyone, even the few that had some sort of mech. "issues", had a great time. Just wish it hadn't been so damned hot! (At least it was dry.)

The Fling was well-planned and well-managed and I'm sure your team learned how you might make it even better for next year.

Thanks, too, to the Elyria/Sheffield police for "gettin' it" and looking the other way ;-).

 See you next year!
 Dwain

Jack,I didn't have any idea what to expect this year compared to last year, but I have to tell you, it was GREAT! There were just enough events to keep us busy, but not too many that would take away from our time to meet and party with all of the other cobraphiles. I laughed so hard two nights in a row that my cheeks hurt the next day. The autocross was a blast as well as the poker run. It seems the word has spread that the Capital Area Cobra Club throws the best parking lot party!!

Thanks again for some great memories.

I see a mention in the first post about this year, but have not seen anything as to a date yet. Has anybody heard anything?

Here's the latest info quoted from: www.dvspringfling.com/
"...DVSF is being cancelled for this year.......I wish that the supporters will use this opportunity to attend the London Cobra Show instead. "
Hopefully, we'll see you in London! It's only a few weeks away!! Wahooo! |
