London Visit

Hello from TonyMadrid in NY,

My 17 yr old son is leaving tomorrow on a school trip to London for 10 days. He's traveling with a group of about a dozen other students and some teachers. The teachers, of course have an itinerary laid out as for the cultural and historic things to do. However, I believe they do have some early evening times with nothing scheduled to do. I know they are going to a club, the Hard Rock Cafe, on one of the evenings and a theatre on at least one of the others. The rest, I believe are open time to walk around and see London in the evening.

I know it's short notice but perhaps some of you, how is it said?, blokes could pass along some ideas of places he and his friends and, of course the teachers, should try to see. Also, maybe some places or areas they should stay away from.

They are staying at the Strand Hotel. That should help as far as the area of London where they will be.

Would have been nice had I thought of posting this sooner, perhaps we could have arranged to have one of you guys give the group a thrill and pass by their hotel with your Cobra. I'm sure that would've taken some planning and coordinating to coincide with their schedule, but that would have been a big thrill for them.

Anyway, any response to this post would be greatly appreciated. Although they're leaving tomorrow, my son, for sure, will be checking in and calling home. So any tips you give I would be able to pass along.

By the way, do you guys have evening cruises? Maybe there's a burger joint or ice cream place where you guys and other hotrodders get together with your machines. If so that might be a great idea, as long as it's near the Strand. I'm sure this group of 17 yr olds would probably be more interested in seeing hot cars than spending a week of nothing but the school-type cultural/historic stuff. After all, isn't seeing fine hotrods educational in its own way.
