The admonition to call Peter three times and average the answers, etc. is an interesting observation.
So much depends on what "stage" car you are seeking; turn-key, painted roller, unpainted roller, kit, etc. My experience has been to give Peter the downdeposit and then go on about other projects, scrounge for parts and otherwise occupy my time until the gestation period is up.
