John ... Have a great trip! Take a good look around the shop, the place is amazing. Ask lots of questions ... Peter, Bob & Crew really know their stuff and are a real pleasure to work with If you can get a few photos that would be great ... Have fun !!

I was also visiting ERA today and got this shot of Grubby and Peter P., who is fondling my rear end; Grubby likes what he sees:

Default Some more photos from 6/15

I had Walt repaint my car the correct color, AC Cars AC 8, Rosso Chiaro, and delete the fender stripe which was a little lame, and the results were spectacular. The Corvette Torch Red photographed great but was too bright in person. The ICI paint code for the original AC color is FG39. It is a single stage paint, but is reformulated by PPG-Nexa into a two-stage:

That's because not one of them has dual roll bars.

Jeffy, nice red! I love it.

Do I see a passenger side only roll bar just inside the garage door? That's probably just waiting for the driver's roll bar to be installed.

That's a reflection from the lights. And even if it were a hole, it looks like it's drilled dead center between where the two holes should be.

Thanks! It is perfect, just like the color I've seen on AC Ace's in books and on-line. John liked it, too, and may use it.

I wish I were local. I have too much trouble picking out colors and from the looks of it, if and when I do another project, then I'll have to remember your paint code for sure.

I sent some pictures of 2137 to Quik289. My daughters camera gave me fits and the pictures were blurry. Lucky Jeffy was there to take some great photos.

Red is my color and Jeffy's car is stunning. It was on the trailer when I pulled up and it knocked my sox off. I have been struggling to find the color red I like and the search has now ended. He was gracious enough to supply me the formula and color code.

Quik289s green FIA looks great and is very close to being shipped. His real fun will start soon.

Peter gave me the grand tour. The guys at ERA are true craftsmen. I plan to send Peter a check this week to get things going. The latest ERA upgrades are really nice.

John

The truth is so funny you don't even have to make stuff up to be humorous.

Thanks, John. I think the coolest part is that it is an original AC Cars color. I'm grateful, and somewhat surprised, that it looks so good. When I saw it a week ago Monday, before Walt applied the clearcoat, I hated it. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't believe it was the same color.

Have fun with your new build! It was nice to meet you.

Jeff

Jeff ... The new red is really nice and no stripe is a cleaner look ... I like it! The torch red Corvettes that I have seen have a bit of an orange tint, which looks good but not as striking Rosso Chiaro. Sounds like John had a great visit too, and Greg's beautiful BRG FIA is almost done ... it looks great! Thanks for the photo of 2136 ... can't wait to see that baby in person
