Good luck! They do pop up from time to time & they really are great cars.

Just out of curiosity, why aren't you considering purchasing NEW from ERA? I'm guessing it's the cost of building? Upside is having it exactly the way you want it.

But I am glad now that I didn't go the used route. I have everything the way I want it.

Kurt,

I was in a similar situation as you guys ... looking for an ERA FIA and not having a lot of success. So in May of '09 I pulled the trigger and started the process with Peter and crew at ERA.

I wanted their 'street' car, no hood scoop, no oil cooler scoop, solid color (no stripes) and with a grille. They also did a few tweaks to make a bit more room for me to fit, made a custom roll bar set up and the list goes on from there. ERA is great to work with, and a lot of CC members both locally and on line have helped me along the way.

The wait is painful, but knew that going in and hopefully pretty soon, the car will be done

So ... keep looking, they are out there and if it's close enough to what you are looking for, go for it. On the other hand, if you sit down and figure out exactly they way you would have a car built, seriously think about putting your name on the list ... either way you will wind up with a great car

Best of luck !

Kurt,

Here is link to my build thread ... there are some photos posted there, along with some comments and suggestions from fellow CC members.

I hope to have more photos soon, as the car get's built out into a roller.

Enjoy!
