Default New Chair…

Ditched the incredibly uncomfortable Sparco Chrono Sport seat for an amazingly comfortable Kirkey Pro Street Drag seat. This seat comes in widths ranging from 15-20”. I already had a set of Kirkey brackets holding the Sparco in, so once I got the holes positioned and drilled through the body of the seat, all it took was about ¾” worth of spacers between the seat and brackets and I was good to go. (Got the 15”, dad, so stay out of the M&M’s) With the brackets on adjusting tracks for fore-aft adjustment, there’s about 1” of air space under the seat and plenty of space to the inside of the Lemans top, so I should have no issues with wearing a helmet. I had less than a finger’s width between my helmet and the top before with the Sparco, and that thing was on the carpets. The seat offers fantastic thigh and rib support. It’s like getting a hug every time I get in the car. It’s a good thing I added the steering wheel disconnect, though, because the side bolstering makes the entry/exit a little more challenging with the top on. The only thing I may play with is the inclination, but it felt pretty darn good on my ride into work this morning… For anyone wondering, this seat (41 series) is the same as the “Vintage Bucket” (41v series) offered by Kirkey, with the addition of a pass-though for the shoulder harnesses and a headrest. (not sure why the 41 series is cheaper…) Here’s some pics:
