Heat coming into cockpit

I just read all the posts here and of course the last one is the correct answer for small leaks into the cock pit area. I had heat coming through the side between the body and the frame rail and into the drivers side foot box.
Home Depot... Insulating Spray foam, put in, in small layers because it expands. No more heat in the cockpit for the last seven year's.

Suggestion: If you use expanding spray foam, get the product for door and window use as it expands less and is therefore less likely to cause damage if you get a bit over-zealous when you're applying it.

We recommend Latex foam (which is flexible and soft) rather than the urethane type. The latter can do some serious damage when it expands in restricted places, and it might deteriorate over time from any flex.

Latex foam is what I used per ERA's recommendation when I was building my car.
