Default Anyone heard from ERA Chas lately??

It's been months since he has chimed in. I'm sort of in withdrawal from lack of (constructive) criticism.

Hope he's OK.

I was thinking the same thing recently. No Chas to give Patrick a hard time. I hope all is well with him.

Same here - I was wondering why he hasn't chimed in lately. He gave me some good advice several times when I was planning my build.

Do mis his comments and sarcasm. Is there a way for an administrator to check the activity of his account to see if he is reading messages or logging in?

Well, he's alive but not so well.

First guys, I truly appreciate your kind comments and concern. Except for one, , I miss the give and take with each of you.

My life has taken a too- early apex and I've found myself skating off on the exit. No, not me, but two of my dearest loved ones are battling moderately serious medical horrors. I only wish it were me instead. My vision issues, though worse, are child's play in comparison.

So life isn't as flavorful anymore and I've retreated from the frivolous and amusing in many respects. Yeah, sure I miss my car but the Almighty let me sell it just before my roof started falling in. Sadly, the owner now has little time to stay in touch and I miss seeing it and advising about all its aspects.

I'm very introspective now by comparison, not my style at all. Pat found me on a model-building forum where I had begun my bucket-list build about the time the car went. Now it sits under a wrap on my bench as I'm a 24 / 7 caregiver, frequent hospital commuter and chief worrier. As a diversion, I have little time for it now.

Enough soap opera - thanks for caring but it would just kill me to see this great site every day and remind me of the joys you all enjoy and I desperately miss. It was great, being a part of your Cobra life.

Wish you guys a happy, healthy life, both you and yours. And Pat, my knuckles are still bruised from some of our go-rounds but that is a great memory for me. Continue on friend, you have other balls to break.
Stay sideways...

Chas,
Remember, you have a standing invitation when you make it to LA, at a taste of the Cobra life.

Chas - if checking back on this I'm sorry to hear about all you're having to deal with. I appreciate your contributions here and help, even though we (I) may have failed to be smart enough to fully appreciate it at times. Hope things take a turn for the better for your family and you have some sunny days ahead. Best of luck.

I miss the good old days when you "waxed" philosophically about the trials and tribulations of magnesium wheels.

G-d speed to you and your family.

I second this statement for sure. I sincerely hope things turn around in your life. Remember the peaks and valleys rule. It has helped me from time to time!

Chas,

Remember to take care of yourself, so that you have the energy to take care of others. You will need to rest and do something relaxing to be your best for everybody else.
