Default Looking for some ERA Seats. Anyone?

I have a busted passenger seat. I'm working on fixing it. They are black vinyl and of the older fiberglass frame style.

But I would prefer to upgrade to black leather, and ideally the newer steel frame with webbing design.

I can't swallow the costs for a whole new set of seats. I thought I'd create a post just in case by some miracle, someone had a set of black leather seats for sale!

Please let me know! Thanks!

If you give up on leather seats and decide to consider vinyl - I've kind of regretted not getting leather seats and might sell mine and upgrade. Although it may be cheaper to see if ERA will sell the covers to me separately.

Default ERA seats

Looks like about $3k to buy leather seats from ERA. They say that you can't just buy the leather and reskin your vinyl seats. But I discovered that you can by complete leather seats online from FFR for $800. I'd be interested to figure out if they fit. I live in MA so i could drive there and check one out.

I'd guess that the ERA seats could be nicer, but I can't justify $3k for an upgrade to leather.

I fixed my broken seat so I'm unfortunately sticking with the vinyl for now. But I hope to upgrade sometime.

I was in your same situation. I had a local upholstery shop here in Central CT redo mine to leather for $800. each. The leather was $300, and $500. labor each. This included new carpet on the back. The lady was very experienced, and was able to duplicate the vinyl pieces very well. Check the internet for local shops, but make sure they are capable. Good luck.

I would be surprised if there were any discernible differences between the FFR seats and the ERA seats. I have the new style metal framed FFR vinyl seats and they are very nice and very will built. I doubt anyone could tell if you had FFR leather seats or ERA leather seats in your car.

I can second that. My Hi-Tech came with a pair of vinyl FFR seats which I believe are made by Cobra Seat in the UK - Cobra Seats - The World's Finest Automotive Seats (at least mine were). The quality was very good and when I put them next to my Kirkham leather seats, you really could not tell the difference. In fact, most non-cobra people found the FFR seats nicer looking and more comfortable. Hard to believe but true...
