Looking at the colour of the original cars is a good starting point, but in the end, it's your build, your colour choice. I have to say that choosing the colour of my 289FIA replica wasn't as straightforward as I initially thought it would be. If I can suggest....if you see a picture of a 289 that you like, print it and put it into a folder, and keep adding to the folder....and the eventual colour of choice might start to become more clear.
