Cobras need to be a minimum of 15 years old for importation into Canada. So, anything with documented proof of completion in 2001 or earlier is eligible this year. It doesn't matter what it says on the title, there needs to be proof of the year the car was completed - usually vehicle registration information, issuance of title, MSO, etc.

For my car, completed in 1991 and purchased in Connecticut in 2014, we discovered Michigan purges their records after 10 years - so unable to turn up proof via search. To make a very long story short, I obtained a letter from the Michigan Secretary of State describing how the date of issue was encoded in the VIN - the Canadian authorities accepted that as proof of completion. Don't ask how I got that letter, but it had something to do with a first-born male child...
