Static Cling Meatballs question

I ran static cling meatballs on my car at many track events to speeds of 140 MPH with no signs of lifting. The thing I would avoid if I had to cover a joint would be any kind of loose edge in the meatball. In other words, I'd trim the meatball so it has a smooth, even edge and the body beneath it is flat enough for it to cling well. I wouldn't try to trim it with a single cut and then wrap the excess meatball around a sharp edge. .... BTW, I would think that aligning two halves of a meatball could be tedious. I hope you won't have to remove and replace them very often.
