Default ERA 289 Fuel Tank Removal

I'm removing the fuel tank but have been unsuccessful in the "snaking it out the left side first" procedure described in the manual. It seems I might need to remove the trunk lid and support? There's no mention of it in the manual. I was hoping not to, i don't want to mess with the alignment.

Also, looks like a new sender gasket is in order. I couldn't find a sender part number in the manual.

Thanks!

Kim

Yes, the trunk lid must be removed first so that the hinges can be rotated up out of the way. Getting the tank out is tricky. If you need help, give us (Doug) a call.

Thanks, Bob! I'll give it a go and call if I run into more problems. I think with the lid and support gone I'll be ok.

Thanks Jeff! It was a piece of cake once I removed the hinges and support. Putting on an eight stack injection. Coming along but not without quite a few hurdles! I'll be an expert on fuel injection once this is over! I knew nothing about it before I started!
