I'm Trying to find out the Ohm range of the fuel senders used in the earlier ERAs. My car is #294. i'm trying not to disturb the original sender to test it.Anyone out there Know? My car was built in the early 90s. Thanks , Paul in Texas.
Most of the senders are 240 ohm (empty) to 33 ohm (full).
If you disconnect the wire from the sender at the front corner of the tank (driver side) you can check the resistance between the sender wire and ground with your multi meter.
Check it when the tank is full, and again when it is empty. That will give you the range.
