Something wrong with 838 - not leaking
It has been slow on this site, so I decided to post.
ERA 838 has something wrong with the engine and rear.
The FE engine is completely dry. There is absolutely no oil coming out where it shouldn’t.
Same problem with the Jaguar based rear. It is bone dry.
The engine has oil and so does the rear. It is strange they aren’t leaking.
Should I replace gaskets and seals to get them leaking like they were designed to do?

No leaky FE and Jag rear = Glitch in The Matrix
It has been said that Jaguar would not build a
computer till engineering figured out a way for it
to leak oil.

If you are missing the True FE Experience, drill a couple of holes the the outside surface of the valve cover. In addition to the leak, you'll get some of the "burning oil fragrance". It's a two-fer.

Wait until summer when it warms up. Right now you're running something like SAE200 sludge. It'll change

John,
Your car is no longer marking it's territory, as such, I'm sorry to say, but your car is totaled, as such, I'll give you $100 cash for it.
