Indpls to Santa Monica

My wife and I drove 838 from Indy to St Louis and then took Route 66 to Santa Monica. We then drove up the PCH to just South of Monterey. Just over 3000 miles on this trip.

The car ran great and no big issues.

I took this photo of my wife with 838 to copy the original Shelby publicity photo. You can't get to the place they took it in 1965, so the shot is about 1/2 mile further from Point Mugu.

Sounds like a great trip. Regretfully, I can never get my wife to accompany me on my jaunts. I'm going to Saskatoon and then I'll swing down through Boulder for their Labor Day show and party again. I WAMMA DRIVE

I won't make the Boulder party again this year. Beginning to look like last time was the last time! Sigh
