Again, sidepipes are not inherently deafening. There are some undercar systems that are louder. Use a large glasspack, and you can have good sound control as well as good flow.
It likely varies from make to make, but there isn't much room for an undercar muffler.
That being said, some years back, Walker made chambered pipe exhausts, and may still today. Something like that would work.
