Default More Questions

Hey Bob, I have a few questions for you.

1) How was vacation ?

2) I was looking through the assembly manual and noticed the bit on a 460. I talked with Unique and he told me he tries to discourage the 385 series engines. Not enough ground clearance and the hood and foot boxes have to be modified. Question is, how much narrower are the foot boxes than normal ? Have you had ground clearance problems with the 385 series engines ?

3) LLet's say there are problems with the 460. How about the Cleveland ? Are there any clearance problems associated with that ?

4) Do you make headers for the Cleveland ?

Thanks a lot for your time.

Very, very short, but it'll still take a month for my body to heal.

I think we only trim the top corner of the box, so you lose about 1".

2b) Have you had ground clearance problems with the 385 series engines ?

Embarrassingly enough, I've never actually seen a finished installation. There have only been a couple. I keep the crank centerline the same with all engines, so I suspect that there are shallow pans to maintain good ground clearance. I'm pretty sure that the cars didn't have a hood clearance issue, but obviously you can't use a high-rise intake manifold.

3) LLet's say there are problems with the 460. How about the Cleveland ? Are there any clearance problems associated with that ?

Only those associated with tall intakes.

4) Do you make headers for the Cleveland ?

No.
