ERA owners..from round to square tail lights?
Are there any ERA owners out there that bought their cars with round tail lights and changed them over to square? What was in involved and how did it go? Were ther any problems getting them in the right location and after being painted could you tell they had been changed? I've always wanted square tail lights and now that my car is paid for I'm looking at starting some changes and would appreciate any feed back. Also want to change form a molded hood to one with a riveted on scoop but I think that part will be fairly easy.
My first ERA came with round taillights, after I sold it to a friend he decided to have it repainted and in the process change to the square taillights. I was involved so I do have some idea of the process. We purchased new end caps and taillight assemblies from ERA, which we had fit professionally by the shop that did the paint. It involves cutting off the area around the lights and fitting the cap.......need I say fit and alignment are critical. It took the shop several hours of fiddeling to get it right and included fiberglass and body work. It came out right and after the car was repainted it was indistingushable from the factory cars. I have to say I don't think I would attempt it myself.

Gary:
I just noted this query. All of ERA's bodies are made initially with provision for the round tails. ERA uses an alignment jig to locate the "square light" end caps. They do it all the time, but definitely not for the faint of heart.
