Default Sidescreen Ferrules

Hi Bob

Considering buying some Side screen ferrules, do you people supply, or where may I procure these? I will have to make up a jig with the pins all on one plane, just in case I ever fit sidescreens, no! - they are just for effect!

In case I end up making them, I would emagine the center holes are approx 5/16"?

Cheers Ant

Post Ferrules

Ant:

The ferrules are .500 OD on the main portion that passes through the body itself with a .375 bore, the visable portion that seats on the skin of the door is .750 OD. They are about 2 inches long overall. Cobra Restorers or Kirkhams can supply them as well as Finishline.

Default Original or Reproduction style

Would anyone know what the difference is between original and reproduction style Ferrules, as Cobra restorers have both, and they say its the shape and they are all chrome on brass. Also the reproduction is $8.95, and the original is $17.95 each.

I made my first lot on the lathe out of steel half inch unf bolts, but its a lot of work, it would be easier to get some brass rod and turn them. but I reckon by the time it takes ..................!
